Dryer Flex Transition Duct

According to the International Residential and Mechanical Building Codes, only UL 2158A-listed materials are approved for use as dryer transition ducts. This standard, established by Underwriters Laboratories, requires materials to withstand flame temperatures of at least 430°F and demonstrate zero flame spread and zero smoke development under surface burning tests.

Using compliant transition ducting is not just a matter of performance—it is essential for fire safety and code compliance. Non-compliant ducts (such as plastic or unlisted foil types) can pose a serious hazard and may void appliance warranties or insurance coverage.
